Well there’s a better way. Make it yourself. Here’s how.
Take the cream you use for your morning coffee and the buttermilk you use for your pancakes. Combine the two and before you know it, you’ve got creme fraiche!
350g Heavy Cream
- In a clean jar, combine the two ingredients.
- Place the lid on.
- Allow the mixture to sit at room temperature for 24hours. Do not shake.
- Transfer the mixture to the refrigerator .
Guess what. You’ve just made your own creme fraiche! Now you can use it on your pancakes:-p
I like to use it in salad dressings to add a creamy texture.
